Welcome to Fairhaven Guesthouse!
Our bed and breakfast is conveniently located in a quiet, residential neighborhood near downtown Charlottesville. A budget B&B, we are less than a mile from Charlottesville’s Historic Pedestrian Mall. We’re also 10 minutes away from the University of Virginia. Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, is nearby as well.
Our Commitments
Fairhaven Guesthouse operates with three overriding commitments:
- A commitment to the environment. From low-toxic cleaners to organic and fair-trade breakfasts, we strive to minimize our ecological footprint.
- A commitment to local businesses. Whenever possible, we point our guests to locally-owned restaurants, shops and attractions, and pay special attention to those that also support local products. For the inn, we shop at the farmer’s market and local shops whenever possible.
- A commitment to our guests. Most importantly, we strive to provide a warm, supportive environment to our guests. We offer what we look for most when we’re traveling: a friendly face and a comfortable space – at a rate that most everyone can afford.
What we offer
Fairhaven offers three private rooms. They share the full kitchen, living room and bathroom. You can also relax on our screened-in porch and deck.
As a budget B&B, our price is easy on your pocketbook. All accommodations include a make-for-yourself continental breakfast. We provide fresh, local and organic bread and jam, local eggs, organic oats, fair trade coffee and tea, and fresh, organic fruit. Gluten free options are also available. For the budget-conscious, there’s plenty of fridge space and a full kitchen for preparing your own meals.
Although we don’t have television, our blazing fast, free fiber wi-fi lets you stream with no lag or delays.
What’s nearby
The spacious back yard accesses family-friendly Meade Park, with year-around playgrounds and a summer water park open May through September. A short walk away is Riverview Park and the Rivanna Trail.
